Children's Christmas Play

The New Secretary:

Kerrill Foster has been selected as the successor to Evelyn Chapman as the full time position of parish office secretary and financial secretary. There were five candidates who made arrangements for an interview by the Council’s Executive Committee. Kerrill, who has been an active member of the congregation since 1995, serves as cantor at our 8:00 a.m. Sunday service, is currently a member of the Congregation Council, and has been involved in a variety of other ways. From 1985 to 2001 she was Purchasing and Personnel Services Manager at United Carriers Corporation in Newark. Since then she has worked as a substitute teacher in area school systems. Kerrill begins as parish secretary on June 4^th.

Important Christian Events:

Baptized on May 11^th were Kennedi Nicole Mangus (born Oct. 7, 1999) and Gavin Owen Reid Mangus (born Jan. 27, 2003), the children of Ryan Mangus & Audra née Linton. Godparents were Donald & Kathryn Miller.

Baptized on May 18^th were Ann Michelle Fuller née Ball, and her children, Larissa Kay Fuller (born Jan. 12, 1998), Sheriena Nicole Fuller (born June 24, 1999), Maggie Michelle Fuller (born August 20, 2002), and Daniel Joseph Scott Fuller (born Feb. 13, 2004). Husband and father is Paul Fuller, already a member of the congregation.

Confirmed on May 18^th were two baptized youth of the parish, who had completed the traditional one year of catechetical study with the pastor and publically affirmed their baptism: Rebecca Faith Godenschwager (baptized June 5, 1994) ) and Sarah Michelle O’Keefe (baptized June 26, 1994).

Receiving First Communion on May 18^th were Jenna Chorpenning, Sheriena Fuller, Larissa Fuller, and Kennedi Mangus. These children spent four weeks of preparation for their first Communion under the leadership of Marti Kolb-Conner. There are three other youth who also participated in the class, but they will make their first Communion at a later date.
